Finally…..after……what ……seemed …….like……ages…..DFA finally released the 45:33, mysterious remix package! For me 45:33 was LCD Soundsystem’s finest work, in particular i loved part 1 and 2. “if it’s not broke, don’t fix it” came to mind when I actually heard this was going to come out, so I was quite apprehensive about hearing it. The first remix on the pack from Runaway actually blew me away, taking their deep disco chugger style to a new level, its outstanding. Initially I was just going to post this tune, but cant, the whole EP is great- each track for different reasons. As Phonica put it
“Eight killer remixes from a variety of producers that pretty much cover the whole spectrum of 4/4 music. Padded Cell, Pilooski, Riley Reinhold, Prins Thomas, Trus’me Prince Language and probably the most requested and talked about remix of recent times – the epic and slow-burning Theo Parrish remix.”
don’t know why I was worried!

And if your expecting the weekly beatport top 20 for free, fuck off and look elsewhere germ-balls!
Nice post but the production credits on the album are all mixed up.
Killer stuff. I can’t wait until the full length comes out.
full length you say?
I was actually a bit disappointed with these mixes. So much potential and in my opinion, somewhat wasted.

“Killer stuff. I can’t wait until the full length comes out.”
Nike commissioned LCD to create the full length track which was… (Guess how long)
45:33
It was released via iTunes in 2006. It’s a track for running or exercising. Check it out…

wtf…all these tracks are mislabeled (not that I didn’t just download them though!). The “Runaway Remix” is actually the “Theo Parrish Remix” and the “Riley Riehold Remix” is the “Trus’Me Remix”, which by the way are the only 2 remixes worth a damn. Theo’s amazing trak is the slowest of slow burners here and has that typical, stubborn low slung percussion Theo, Moodymann, and co. are famous for. IMO though, the Trus’Me remix is the real killer of them all with the nasty horn emphasis and vocal sample. The rest are boring, uninspired tech house or minimal.
