Aiteeee here is the rundown of the top tracks over at the gym this year. I noticed quite a few lists already out there even though some of this years great tracks only came out in December, also quite a few seemed to forget about January 10′ :S …not to mention packed full of hyped up artists making average tracks. Anyways this list was compiled from our crates and basically just a list of tracks that have been getting most play, we aint really suggesting these are the greatest tracks of the year they are just the ones we felt the most! *also note they are listed in random order
Alex ‘O’ Smith – Here With Me
Top of the class is Omar s, twisted acid sounds matched with an old school Chicago bassline and an enticing soulful vocal…perfection!

Dead Rose Company – Just a bitter love
The almighty Paw to the Floor ep on the outstanding Wolf Music has to be one of the best eps ever, currently topping many chart, this was my favourite track! Huge feel good disco!

Harmony Funk – Can’t let you go
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
The gripping vibes of ‘Can’t Let You Go’ first emerged on Real Estate over 10 years ago but actually sound like they could have come out 10 years before that with its Jamie Principle-esque vocal, vintage synth arcs and crispy drum machines.
Luca C & Brigante – Lucio
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
‘Lucio’ is outstanding, for me it’s all about the low-fi psyc funk synth that slings it back and forth around a slow stomping beat.
Marcellus Pittman – Razz09
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Razz 09? is a happier character revolving around dope boogie house chords and a swaying rhythm that really couldn’t have come from anyone else.
Maxxi Soundsystem – Criticize
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Huge tip on this remix/edit of former SOS Band member Alexander O Neal’s classic on the might of one of the year’s best labels Kojak Giant Sounds!
Mim Suleiman – Nyuli
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Gorgeous Jam with rusty guitars bouncing off hooks and synths that build up effortlessly, released on Running Back one of the freshest Summer tracks!
Nina Kraviz – I’m Weak
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Deep sleaze from our favourite lady of house. Heavy 808 claps and 808 greatness, a late December entry but we got so much love for this analogue bubbler.
Fantastic Man – Look this way
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
The name says it all Fantastic man has dropped a house bomb on us here. Whilst house in the roots, this track has everything from 2 step to garage in its unique formation.
Cleo & Patra – Walk Like an Egyption
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Here we’ve a cheeky mash up between Justus Köhncke’s techno classic – Timecode and the unlikely partner of Rockers Revenge – Walking on sunshine. Nice fun track.
Moody – It’s 2 Late 4 U And Me
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Standard Moodymann…. keys-analogue acid bass- MPC madness- killer vocals.
Mount Kimbie – Carbonated
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Standout track on a great album, this track defines fresh beats. A refreshing sound that the critics want to pigeonhole…don’t…. just listen.
Storm Queen – Look Right Through (VOX version)
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Much in the mode of Metro Area’s work, the track is a spare yet shimmering slice of boogie-house fusion, with a warbling analog keyboard line weaving its way around a simple synth-bass pattern…not to mention a vocal story-tale.
Paris Underground Trax – Sexy Thing Remix
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Huge ballsy deep house that’s tougher than a polish bouncer! Vinyl only release, just like it should be!
Ilja rudman – soul embrace
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Funky as hell track that definitely embrace’s my soul, this one has rocked it all year long.
Tiger & Woods – Time

Looped up banger from T&W collective always goes down great on those peak-time dancefloors!
John Roberts – Porcelin
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Wobbly analogue greatness from another of the year’s great albums- bubbly and enticing this one has been on repeat on all occasions.
Midnight Magic – Beam me up (Jacques Renault Remix)
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Massive disco cut from one of our favourite Labels, producers and all round greats of the modern scene. We got asked what was our anthem of the summer and this one is covered in huge memories for me this summer. The old boogie vibes and heart wrenching vocals almost bring a tear to my eye as I write this.
Red Rack’em – How I program
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
‘How I Program’ is a raw, heads down, whacked out banger, which straddles the wafer thin divide between house and techno. With a massive loud donking bass noise, seedy late night atmosphere and Danny shouting about how he programs his shit –this is some freaky deaky peak time business.
The Nathaniel X Project – gotta get over
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Lush, piano-driven house from Nathaniel X – proper house music with soul.
Carmen - Time to move (Marcello Giordani Boogie Down edit)
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Great little edit out this year with a lively vocal, you cant help but get down to this!
Greymatter – Only one to Fall
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Massive track, again from the Wolf Music crew…cheeky samples of the Mac we cant get enough off. We drop a full WAV of this next week on the blog :)
Head High – It’s a love thing (Piano invasion)
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Pretty deep, this is what i would describe as panorama bar techno to my friends, 909s, cut up vocals and dubby chords all make for the perfect concoction. Not much info on this record but word on the street is that Shed pumped it out, either way we don’t need a name to endorse it, the tracks speak for themselves.
Gunnar Wendel – 578 (Omar S Berlin Mix)
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Deft flourishes to the entrancing lead line and spacing the rhythm with his subtly raw genius…again OMARRRR
Alicia Keys – Unthinkable (physical Therapy Heavy Vibe)
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Physical Therapy have gave this track a maximum workout and twisted it into a dreamy slo-grind classic. Been on heavy rotation since the start of the summer, nice track to set the mood and get the girls on the floor.
John Roberts – August
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Another great track from the John Roberts album, takes the staple Dial style and flips it into and emotive but heavy techno track.
DJ Nature – Everyone
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
“Everyone” instantly draws you in with it’s syncopated rhythm, prominent bass-stabs and escalating percussive patterns – a definite heads down winner.
Presence – Sense Of Danger (MCDE Main Vocal Mix)
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Amazing vocal and MCDE doing his thing to absolute perfection, defiantly one of our favourite artists!
System Status – Downtime
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Sooo much deep love and feel packed into this 12″, the audio depth is impeccable, just hear the crisp vinyl crackle bubble with the hypnotic vocals all the way through the track.
Disco Deviance – Don’t (Social Disco Club Edit)
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Straight up pumping soul funk here that absolutely creams the dance floor without doubt. Social Disco Club has been heavy in our box all year.

Woop woop, feel the christmas love for the pack members
Thanks for this list and for all your work here.
I’d had to this TOP tracks Bicep – Darwin Retro Grade Edit :)
