2011 was a great year for the Uncanney Valley crew, same with Jacob Korn. Since I picked up his massive Running Back EP he has become a firm favourite. This one really got a lot of play last year too..melodic and driving it works amazingly at bridging the gap between disco and house…I honestly can’t believe it took me so long to upload.
The great LWE puts it perfectly – “On “She,” Korn delivers an escalating piano house tune underscored by organic percussion. It’s a soaring track, and clearly the standout here. Yet it also carries a melancholic undercurrent, and for all of its anthemic potential, it’s never exactly euphoric.”
