PRINCE LANGUAGE | I WASHED YOU

One of my favourites of the Editions Disco series, always goes down well epically when you play the Frenchkiss mix by accident which i have done manys a time ;) a genius reworking of Gary Low’s “I Want You”, the Italo-disco track that is the sampled basis for Washed Out’s chillwave anthem “Feel It All Around”.

The original is a wicked slice of Italo built on a punchy synth bassline that would be equally at home in a classic Michael Jackson or Human League hit, shimmering keyboard hooks, and epic percussion fills that’s marred only by a little too much of the old formaggio in the vocal department.  By stripping out the offending verses and working some of his trademark mix-friendly editing magic on the arrangement, Prince Language has created a dancefloor bomb that’s been wreaking havoc on his recent tours of Europe and Australia, and of course the usual dirty New York City jams!
