Number 19 in the Mixtape series and welcome heavyweights Horse Meat Disco take the reins for the first time on the blog. Ever since we moved to London we have been attending the legendary Sunday HMD events usually in a haze at their local The Eagle, which is probably one of the truly hedonistic experiences in London. We can’t wait for these guys to bring this all with them to XOYO when they join us and The Black Madonna September 5th.
We caught up with James to see what they have coming up and what they have been up to recently.
“Well being summer we’ve been doing a lot of festivals as well as flying all over the place. I worked out i will have taken 8 flights this week! Just got back from a weekend in Estonia and Glasgow (which is always great) and off to LA this weekend for FYF festival were we have our own stage and will be playing all day.
I recorded the mix at home on my computer. Its really a mix based on the tunes that i’m playing out this summer. Loosely based on the set that i did at the NYC Downlow at Glastonbury back in June of the Friday night. Always a highlight of my year and in my opinion the NYC Downlow is quite simply THE best club in the world. We’re so proud to be a part of it.”

“More travels. We have residencies in both Berlin and New York so we have them coming up soon and the diary is looking busy for the rest of the year. I hope also to get a holiday in at some point!”
