MATEO & MATOS | RAINBOW 95′

Mateo & Matos, Frankie Knuckles quoted as “a brilliant collection of insatiable grooves”… he couldn’t have put it better.

One of the most gifted and focused production teams in the New York house underground, John “Roc” Mateo and Eddie “E-Z” Matos were both educated in the warm vibe of disco first-hand by listening to classic DJs on New York radio during the late ’70s. (from discogs) This release was taken of the market because of uncleared samples used for the track Rainbow ’95. The track Sunshine ’96 on the No Props 1 1/2 EP was the answer to this…The same track, but now legit without the original Salsoul Orchestra samples and with reproduced bassline and Moog sounds.
