Up on the selection duties are New York’s very own Wurst Music Co, we asked label boss Roy Dank to come on here and talk us through the highlights one of our favourite labels. Initially launched in 2006 as an edits label it gained tonnes of success with releases from the likes of Runaway and Lee Douglas. The Imprint then evolved into The Wurst Music Co focusing on new productions and steering away from the edits past. Wurst has gone from strength to strength since with releases from Neurotic Drum Band, Reade Truth, Great Weekend, and Ulysses. Right now we are eagerly anticipating what comes next! here’s Roy to talk you through;
BRENNAN GREEN | MY FIRST HOUSE

The song that changed everything. Brennan was originally working on a Wurst Edits EP when he played me the super-rough version of this. Next thing we knew it was a Detroit-informed piece of 21st century house music. Couldn’t be more proud of this one.

NEUROTIC DRUM BAND | ROBOTIC HYPNOTIC ADVENTURE

I’m convinced John and Elliot from NDB gave me this out of frustration. I had asked for an uptempo cut to complement the original song I signed, “Neurotic Erotic Adventure”. They sent over a couple which I liked, but didn’t feel fit the flip. The moment this monstrosity of a piano house remix came through my inbox, I knew it was the one.

NICK CHACONA | SLICE OF LIFE

This could well be my favorite song that Nick’s done, and I like a lot of his work. Absolutely stunning.

NATIVE UNDERGROUND| PUSH 4 LOVE
NU represents a pretty big step forward for the label as the talented duo are jumping headfirst into pop territory. Stay tuned for the “Push 4 Love” remix EP, gonna be heavy!
BIBI TANGA & THE SELENITES | BE AFRICA (BEG TO DIFFER REMIX)
Totally biased on this one since I co-produced the remix, but still had to mention it. Always does the damage!

also here is a mix from Wurst boys Neurotic Drum band from Red Bull Music Academy radio
