Phelps – One for Luck (unreleased)

Brighton new kid on the block Phelps a.k.a William Phillips has kindly sent us an unreleased track for everyone to enjoy. Anyone who bought the recent Cosmic Balearic Beats vol. 2 on Eskimo records this year will known his biggest track Pitfield Girl, which is a kind of indie/nu-disco anthem, you can check it out here.

Anyho, this is a nice little indie summery track, debuting here, which has wholesome Brighton vibe to it!

TJ KONG – DISCO NECKED IT / DISCONNECTED

TJ Kong is the latest in a long line of aliases from Erwin Van Moll. Eevolute, Eskimo, DjAx Up Beats, Mo Wax and Compost have all been lucky enough to have had releases from mr Van Moll.

The track “Disconnected” is a groovy house workout that is typical of Mr Van Moll. It starts with an excellent rhythm track that hooks you in straight away and then drops a deep, rich bass reminiscent of some of the classic house records from Eindhoven produced in the mid 90’s. This is quickly followed up with a breathy, seductive female vocal that leads you into the synth parts that propel you throughout the rest of the track until the 303 drops at the end. On the flip the track is reworked into a much darker affair with the 303 playing a central role from the beginning.

“Disco Necked It” builds slowly with dubby synths gradually joining the 303 and throbbing bass before a filtered string part straight outta Detroit creeps in creating a late night thriller that’s sure to have sweaty bodies grooving.

I invite you to come and bathe in these disco glories submerging yourself beneath the  cosmic skyline.
