Finally our plastic homage to Detroit has hit the shelves. BUY BUY BUY. Have a listen, we hope you like it. Instead of describe the track for you we thought it may be better to give you an insight into the production.

‘313’ was basically a melody I recorded of my laptop, my neighbour was getting his Jazz on, so I stuck the mic up to the wall and clicked record. **Note: he will have no credits on the sleeve- His dog shits all over my steps**. We knew the claps were a fundamental part of the track so to add some realism, we set off to Dalston market- inspired by stories of Marshall Jefferson hiring 15 people for the claps on his tunes when he played live. Instead of forming an alliance with the common people we stocked up on meat and what a fine selection there was on offer. On returning to the studio we took turns recording and slapping each other with various types of beef and fish- finally we layered these sounds to give this ‘Real‘ meat thing in action. The chatting you can hear around the start was recorded of my phone while in the waiting room of a very lively brothel, all I can say is that the recording got a little messy towards the end.

An edit of ours that has been knockin around for a while, pretty good support on it. Re-did the drums using an analogue drum machine and recorded samples. Combined with layering cuts of 4 different versions of this song- ‘Human League- You Remind me of gold’. This one was intended for dancefloor, we found the other versions a bit stop and start, so tried to keep it more rollin. Free limited number of downloads so snap it up bitches.

Here’s a little mix I did for Halloween a few years ago, with lots of nice eerie ethereal interludes. It was off the cuff with no prior tracklisting worked out, so a little hit or miss in places, but the mixing and some of the tracks are nothing short of inspiring. ;-)

You just need to look at the names on the remix for this EP,Guillaume and The Coutu Dumonts and Paul Ritch no less!This edit of the original has been floating around on my computer for the past year or so, i think we edited it for live purposes -extending intro/otro…cant really remember…It was released on Get Physic Music at a time that saw most of their focus and direction behind the final wave of smash-s-HIT “Samim- Heater”, so the EP was somewhat overshadowed. Lopazz has been making top quality productions over the last couple of years, redefining Get Physical’s tongue in cheek edge with the help of Noze- we would advise having a hoke for the old stuff.

A man has been jailed for 18 months for breaking a ban on approaching young men and touching their muscles.

Akinwale Arobieke, 47, formerly of Toxteth, Liverpool, and known as “Purple Aki”, was given a Sexual Offences Prevention Order last year.

But two months later he approached a 17-year-old boy and tried to touch his biceps, Liverpool Crown Court was told.

The order was imposed on Arobieke after he was jailed for six years in 2003 for 16 counts of harassment.

His reputation has spread across north-west England where he is known by the nickname “Purple Aki” and is considered by many to be an urban myth, the jury was told.

Bench presses

His latest victim, now aged 18, said he was left feeling “frightened and sick” after Arobieke followed him in Birkenhead in June last year.

He asked the boy how many bench presses he could do.

The boy told the court: “He pointed to my arms and asked if he could see.

“He then lifted his hand towards my biceps and I realised who it was. I backed away and told him I had to go.

“I felt sick and walked away as fast as I could. I went to a friend’s house and looked back but he had gone.”

Bodybuilder Arobieke had pleaded not guilty.

It was his second breach of the order and his 72nd offence since 1980, the judge was told.
